Rebecca Hamilton
Rebecca graduated with a dual major in Theater
Arts and German Literature from Allegheny College, Meadville,
PA. She continued her studies in performance art as the first
non-native speaker accepted into the prestigious Schauspiel
Seminar of
the Mozarteum Conservatory in Salzburg, Austria. Ten years
in Salzburg led her to study voice with Rudolf Knoll at the
Mozarteum, and perform with the Salzburger Kammerchor as
first soprano. After her return to the U.S., she exchanged
the drama of the stage for the drama of birth and became a
Certified Nurse-Midwife, working in inner city clinics, teaching
midwifery at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY,
co-founding a home birth practice, and directing a free-standing
birth center in the Village. In 1999, she abandoned the city
and fled to Tucson, Arizona, to find her heart in the desert.
Her life-long quest for wisdom of the natural world has taken
her from the Sky Islands of Arizona to the rain forests of
Ecuador, where, as a certified hummingbird bander she participates
in avian ecology research. Most recently, Rebecca worked for
two years in hospice, continuing her study of the circle of
life.

(an audio service for the vision-impaired). A native of Philadelphia
and onetime resident of Virginia and Indiana, Greer has lived
in Tucson, Arizona for the past 18 years.
